... has to be this cargo cover. Not some cheap half-folding piece of fuzz-lined wood board like my Tercel or Civic. No, it’s a roll of vinyl with damned hooks! And after 31 years, just look at it!
Not that there was stiff competition, but this is already the best car I’ve owned. My friends, family, and coworkers, are not impressed. Thank God for oppo.

you’re making want an 80's Japanese RWD hatchback more than I already did, which was a lot.

Yeah, 300zx has the same cover. It’s great. All should be impressed and kneel before you. Friends, family, coworkers are all incorrect.

Lol...I can imagine you going “Fellas! FELLAS! Look at my new car, ain’t she lovely?!”
*blank stare
...

*off in the distance “is this guy smokin crack?”

That basically happened today with a coworker I had pegged for a Toyota enthusiast. He tried really hard to seem interested. I miscalculated u_u

My project search last summer included ‘85 Supras. There’s one for sale locally now that looks be pretty clean for $2300. If my wife wouldn’t shoot me, I’d snag it. Congrats again!

Is that a Grand Vitara!?!?!

I considered one for a while, but as always, I went with something more subtle and slow.

Yes, he lives down the block.

I can see this.
All joking aside the carpet looks amazingly unfaded!

Yeah I’m a little worried. I bought it from a guy who lives by the county line (basically lives in the forests of unincorporated Snohomish) so the car has virtually no sun damage. But it’s gonna roast alive under my care... oh well!

You can always dye it back.

True. Or I could stop worrying about my possessions that have pitiful value. But it’s the principle, dammit!

Nah. Now if it was a Camry wagon I'd say fuck it.

Kind of glad I didn’t. This coupe is actually gigantic and spacious. I’m mulling over doing a video walkthrough/review.

He’ll yeah. You have funds left over too right? Mods and repairs?

Sorry I’ve not been paying attention, so this is the first I heard that you bought it. Congratulations it looks like it is in great shape!

No repairs needed as far as I know! Just going to drive her as is for a while... I have some ideas long term but I need to do more research.

That’s pretty awesome. My favorite thing on any of mine is how the interior lights work on my 240D. Front door opens, front lights come on. Back door opens, back lights come on. Mind blown when I discovered it.
Every car I’ve had before or since, all the interior lights came on when any door opened.

It pulls I wonder what a suspension tweak would do for it.
Next time we get together we’ll trade for a minute.

This pretty much what it like telling people how cool, my old, small, boxy, Japanese sedan is. Even when I tell them it’s turbocharged, and manual, and AWD I just get blank stares, and confusion as to why I’d rather have that then the little red sporty coupe (2001 honda civic) I had before.

that is interesting. silly but interesting.

I think you might have a curse. Or developing a useless super power.
This happened the last time you replied to me as well.
Weird.
